ED RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You will work as an RN in the Emergency Department at BUMC Tucson, floating between two locations: the Tucson Campus (Level I Trauma Center) and South Campus (Level III facility). This is a 3x12 night shift position for 89 days, starting December 7, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,446.20.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs and discharge planning requirements
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical orders
• Delegate and supervise healthcare team members, including licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise the plan of care as indicated
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education and orientation of staff, patients, and families

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ED RN experience
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Current certifications: PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and BLS
• Experience in a 500+ bed hospital preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Use of standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
