Job Details:

• Day shift position working 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• Call requirements as required by facility
• Float requirements as required by facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior neonatal and pediatric intensive care experience required
• Must be adaptable with a teamwork mentality
• Required licensure: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), NRP, and PALS
• Must be a graduate from an accredited college program in Respiratory Care
• Must hold a current license in the state of practice
• Must be registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT)
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Black scrubs required; no other attire acceptable
• Perform technical skills relative to respiratory practice including initiating and maintaining routine equipment
• Demonstrate competence in assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Implement appropriate respiratory care interventions and procedures
• Assess and identify physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families
• Maintain accurate, factual, and confidential documentation
• Communicate patient goals, objectives, and changes in status to healthcare team members
• Participate in physician rounds and chair committees
• Demonstrate clinical reasoning skills including decision-making and critical thinking
• Maintain and process equipment including O2 tank replacement and stocking supplies
• Stay current with literature and best practices in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care
