Telemetry RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment on a 30-bed Trauma, Ortho, and Surgical unit (T8). You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period. Holidays are worked based on unit coverage needs.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for patients with a 1:4–5 ratio, including post-op day 1 transplants, Whipple procedures, spine surgeries, ortho joint replacements, and trauma cases
• Monitor telemetry using Phillips equipment and manage ventilator patients requiring BiPAP and CPAP support
• Perform charting via Cerner EMR
• Float to Med/Surg and Telemetry units, potentially across additional campuses
• Work collaboratively with a charge RN (non-patient assignment), nurse aides (2 during day, 1 at night), IV SWAT RN, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support available 24/7

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Complete and pass Day 1 SIMs Lab covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Maintain sterile field competency
• Pass Day 1 orientation exam
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
• Personal vehicle required

Unit Details

• 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Natural hair color required; no facial piercings permitted
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Navy scrubs required

Compensation & Timeline

Weekly pay: $2,136. Assignment starts October 26, 2026, and runs for 91 days.
