Job Details:

• 8-week assignment
• Day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required every 5th or 6th weekend and one day during the week
• Minimum of 3 years of experience required - no exceptions
• Must be proficient in Orthopedics (total joints), General, and OB/C-Sections
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Perform and assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including Orthopedics, GYN, Podiatry, General, Endoscopy, and Labor and Delivery C-Sections
• Proficiency in procedures including thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and bronchoscopy
• Experience with special equipment including Hana Table required
• Competency in fire safety, cell saver, blood and blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling and labeling, universal protocol, and wound management required
• Charting system experience required
• Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Block scheduling type with a 1:1 patient ratio
• May be required to float to different units
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
