Special Procedures Technologist in Columbia, SC

Prisma Health Richland Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist with neuro interventional radiology expertise. You will work in a peripheral and neuro interventional radiology department performing a range of advanced imaging-guided procedures.

Schedule and Hours

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Weekend coverage through on-call rotation shared among 6 to 8 staff members
• On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and weekends with primary and backup call positions

Core Responsibilities

• Assist with neuro interventional procedures including stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling and stenting, AVM embolization, and carotid stenting
• Support peripheral and body angiography procedures
• Perform line access procedures including port placements, PICC placement, and dialysis catheter placement
• Operate Siemens interventional radiology equipment across 3 rooms
• Work with patient populations spanning adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Support daily census of 15 to 20 cases per department

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience
• Neuro interventional experience required
• ARRT R (Radiography) certification
• ARRT VI (Interventional Radiography) certification
• BLS certification
• South Carolina Radiography State License
• Trauma Level 1 experience preferred

Contract Details

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 28, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,108
• 13 to 26 week contract options available

EPIC experience is preferred but not required. You will work in a fast-paced trauma center with experienced clinical staff and access to current interventional imaging technology.
