Med Surg RN Job in Casper, WY

Wyoming Medical Center Central in Casper is seeking a registered nurse for a Med Surg position. This is a travel assignment with a start date of June 15, 2026, and a duration of 89 days. You will work a 3x12 schedule on days, with weekly pay of $2,310.30.

Your Role

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for medical-surgical patients. Your responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and developmental needs
• Review patient history and diagnostics, reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Formulate individualized care plans and coordinate discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate care activities, and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient outcomes
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in medical records
• Provide patient and family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Wyoming DFS, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience in the Med Surg specialty area
• Acute care hospital experience within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
