Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with weekends scheduled as needed
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• No holiday requirements
• 21-bed medical surgical department with an average census of 15-16 patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5, with occasional 1:6 ratio
• Patient Care Techs available with a 1:5 ratio supporting team nursing
• Manage common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, post-op orthopedic, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently as telemetry is frequently used on the unit
• Work with CPAP respiratory therapy equipment
• Heparin drips administered at set rates; no titration of drips required
• Dysrhythmia reading experience required
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Charting completed using EPIC system
• Any color scrubs permitted
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must provide a copy of unexpired driver's license at time of submission
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius
