Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 2x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (open to 48-hour weeks)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required rarely; if required, on-call is for the first 4 hours
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities may be required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, wound care and wound vac, and use of rapid response and code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule available with manager approval based on unit needs
