ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4 maintained across days, nights, and weekends
• 8-10 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period, including Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments required as needed per unit
• No block scheduling available
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; CPI and MAB preferred
• Kansas and Missouri license or compact license required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required skills: Cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP management, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions, and triage
• Preferred skills: Arterial line management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs, experience in STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility settings
• Must be comfortable managing occasional OB patients and mother/baby care until transfer
• Patients served include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
