Occupational Therapist Job in Guthrie, OK

Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 91-day assignment beginning July 13, 2026. This day shift role offers 36 guaranteed hours per week across five 8-hour shifts, with no weekend hours or call requirements.

Position Overview

You will work in the Physical Therapy department, implementing evidence-based treatment programs and utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities. Your responsibilities include evaluating patients' functional status, considering relevant medical and psychosocial factors, and establishing measurable treatment goals. You will modify approaches based on patient response and provide clear education to patients and families throughout their care journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish appropriate treatment plans with measurable goals
• Implement and modify treatment programs safely using specific treatment modalities
• Prioritize evaluation and treatment procedures to optimize patient outcomes
• Complete timely documentation including notes, conferences, and charge entries in the EPIC EMR system
• Provide patient and family education in clear, concise manner
• Work independently under limited supervision, making rational clinical decisions from physician consultations, lab results, and assessments
• Serve as resource person and provide orientation to new staff as needed
• Act as clinical instructor for students when applicable
• Assist with departmental and special projects
• Maintain current knowledge of technical and therapeutic advances

Requirements

• Current occupational therapy license
• BLS certification
• 1+ years of experience

Assignment Details

Weekly pay is $2,336. Scrub color is black. This is an excellent opportunity to gain travel experience while providing direct patient care in a structured day shift environment with no on-call obligations.
