RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift schedule with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract duration
• Unit 6B, Cardiac Telemetry - medical cardiac step-down unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on nights
• 24-room unit with 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Care for adult to geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, rule out MI, post MI, new onset/unstable angina, pericardial disease, cardiac drug toxicity, suspected pacemaker/ICD malfunction, post ICD/pacemaker insertion, chest pain of suspected cardiac origin, A-fib, syncope of suspected cardiac origin, treated/stable aortic dissection, pre/post therapeutic catheterization, and dysrhythmias
• Administer select continuous infusion of cardiac medications and oral drug therapy for dysrhythmias
• Also care for med/surg patients on the unit
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Active VA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Cardiac telemetry background within the past one year required
• EPIC experience required (6+ months of recent experience within the past 12 months)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
