ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 10-bed ICU unit located on the 1st floor of Tower 2
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending upon acuity
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 staff nurses, and 1 unit assistant
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 5 staff nurses
• EMR system: Meditech
• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience required (excluding travel assignments)
• Required skills: EVD management and monitoring, hypothermia management, ventilator management, and vasoactive drugs
• NIH Stroke Scale certification completion required
• Experience with immediate post open heart care, hemodynamics, and ABG interpretation required
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience required
• Work with equipment including External Ventricular Draining Device (EVD), CRRT, and ECMO
• Perform procedures including line placement and intubation
• Float to CCU and PCU as needed (travelers float first)
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills under pressure required
• Dress code: variable scrub color, no visible piercings, tattoos must be covered
