Physical Therapist Assistant Outpatient Job in Waurika, OK

Jefferson County Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient rehabilitation. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements.

The Role

You'll deliver direct patient care in a structured outpatient setting with a 1:1 patient-to-therapist ratio and a daily census of approximately 7 patients. Your responsibilities include treating patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—with diagnoses spanning orthopedics, neuromuscular conditions, balance and coordination disorders, debility and generalized weakness, CVA, Parkinson's disease, lower and upper extremity conditions, spine and low back pain, post-surgical cases, and general medical-surgical diagnoses.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience; 2 years preferred
• Demonstrated competency with orthopedic populations, young athletes, post-operative patients, and balance and falls management
• Current BLS certification
• Oklahoma or compact license

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech charting system experience

Position Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 10, 2026. You'll earn $1,722 weekly. The facility offers self-scheduling flexibility and may require you to float between locations as needed. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
