Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Norman, OK

Tide Health Group – 24th Place in Norman, OK is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work days, five 8-hour shifts per week, with no call or weekend responsibilities.

Your Role

As a PTA, you will deliver rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will apply evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and help patients regain mobility and function.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and assistive device instruction
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans
• Report treatment outcomes and effectiveness to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Document all clinical and regulatory information in the electronic health record system
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Complete facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Work with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies
• Supervise and support students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Adhere to APTA and Oklahoma state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Active Oklahoma state licensure
• Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Skills checklist completion within 1 year

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,643. Assignment begins October 19, 2026.
