PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract position working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
• Work in a neuro-focused PCU unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• May float to other med/surg areas within the floor (ortho/neuro) or elsewhere in the hospital at a 5:1 or 6:1 ratio
• Unit operates with 8 beds and a team of 2-3 nurses per shift
• Night shift staffing includes 2 nurses, 1 PCT, and 1 charge nurse shared with 4 West patients
• Required to work with GE hardwired monitors available in 4 rooms
• EMR system used is Meditech
• PCU level experience required
• Required skills: IV medication drips, cardiac monitoring, and ACLS certification
• NIH certification required (must obtain by start date if not already certified)
• Preferred skills: experience with trachs
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue
• Strong teamwork and communication skills essential
