ICU RN Job in Lexington, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking an RN for its Intensive Care Unit in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a 12-hour night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), working 3 shifts per week. The assignment runs for 89 days, beginning November 16, 2026. You will earn $2,412 per week.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments within the RN scope of practice
• Identify patient risk factors and collect objective and subjective health data
• Obtain patient health information from family or others as needed
• Develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the inter-professional team
• Design and implement culturally sensitive care interventions appropriate to patient age and developmental level
• Determine desired outcomes in coordination with patient, family, and medical plan of care
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments following procedures and therapies
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care
• Facilitate the patient discharge process, including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Participate actively in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring

You will implement professional nursing practice centered on whole-person patient care and creating a healing and wellness environment. Weekends and holidays are required as needed. This role emphasizes promoting a positive group dynamic through your words and actions while delivering evidence-based nursing care.
