Operating Room RN Job in Pittsburgh, PA

Allegheny General Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 92-day travel assignment beginning September 7, 2026. You will work a 4x10 evening shift schedule as part of a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and nights, with call and weekend availability required.

Shift Details:

• 4x10 evening shifts with rotating coverage across day, evening, and night schedules
• Call and weekend shifts required; call response time of 30 minutes
• Weekends may include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• In-house call rooms available when needed
• 40-hour guaranteed work week

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience within the last 3 years (3 years strongly preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience within the last 3 years
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience within the last 3 years

Clinical Competencies:

You must demonstrate strong proficiency (level 3 or 4) in the following specialties:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Neurology
• Vascular
• Trauma
• Robotics (DaVinci—Cardiac and drive machine)
• Transplant

RNs are not required to scrub. This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility with diverse surgical specialties and advanced technology platforms. Compensation is $2,840 weekly.
