OR RN Job in Colorado Springs, CO

Penrose Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a 91-day travel assignment with flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

Role Overview

You will work in a 16-suite operating room performing approximately 30 cases per day. Common procedures include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics. You must have Trauma and Neuro experience. Charge nurse experience is preferred, and charge nurses and house supervisors are present on shift. Scrubbing is not required for RNs; two OR techs are on shift to support your work.

Schedule & Availability

• Shift options: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, 9:00 AM–9:30 PM, or 9:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Rotating days with varied schedules
• On-call: approximately 120 hours per 13-week contract in rotation with staff, including weekends and holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Trauma and Neuro experience required
• Reside within 60 miles of facility
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be available in-state for orientation week
• BSN not required

Facility Details

Penrose Hospital uses Epic for charting. Scrubs are provided. Floating may be required only in cases of extreme need within Zone 1 facilities.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,472 for 3x12 rotating shifts. Assignment runs 91 days beginning September 28, 2026.
