Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Modesto, CA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California. This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, working 5x8 shifts (40 hours per week). You will also be on-call 4 hours twice per week.

In this role, you will support surgical teams across multiple specialties, primarily cataract and ENT procedures. You will serve patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 25 patients, with around 5 visits per day across 3 operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields
• Assist surgeons during cataract extraction and implant procedures
• Support endoscopic sinus procedures, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, and stapedectomy
• Assist with tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, myringotomy with tubes, and septoplasty
• Support vitrectomy and additional orthopedic and ENT procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and sharps safety throughout all procedures
• Follow radiation safety protocols when required
• Handle and label specimens correctly

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience with cataract and ENT procedures

This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of October 12, 2026. You will earn $1,939 per week. ADEX Healthcare Staffing handles all contract logistics and support throughout your assignment.
