Cath Lab Technologist Job in Cumberland, MD

You will work as a Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cath Lab at West Central - UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD. This is a 90-day travel assignment with a start date of July 27, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• $3,381 weekly pay

Your Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologist in performing invasive procedures including right heart monitoring, myoendocardial biopsies, left heart catheterizations, and interventional procedures
• Enter patient information into Cath Lab computer system and document all procedure details in the Cath Lab hemodynamic system
• Monitor patients throughout the procedure, including pre- and post-procedure care
• Communicate vital patient information to the physician, including blood pressure and heart rhythms
• Operate equipment appropriate for procedures, including fluoroscopy equipment, film processor or filmless systems, defibrillator, monitoring equipment, and interventional devices
• Prepare trays and room for procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures, and provide procedure instructions
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology pertaining to cardiac patients
• Support information gathering for research patients
• Aid in transport of patients to and from the Cath Lab to expedite timely department operations

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Science (completion of accredited technical program required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• One of the following certifications: ARRT Certificate, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
