ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Banner Baywood Medical Center, located at 6644 E Baywood Ave in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel position lasting 89 days, beginning October 5, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (days)
• Weekly pay: $2,434
• Varied schedule with potential on-call responsibilities

Role Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Provide direct patient care based on physician orders while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel as appropriate
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluations accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership initiatives and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• May float between Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital ICUs and PCUs

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience must include working in acute care within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the ICU specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
