About this role

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is a travel assignment lasting 89 days, beginning October 5, 2026.

Shift and Pay

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
  • Weekly pay: $2,570

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience required
  • Previous travel healthcare experience required
  • Current, valid RN license in Arizona
  • BLS certification required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Professional certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs and discharge planning
  • Review patient history and physical with patient and family; ensure completion within appropriate timeframes
  • Review diagnostics and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
  • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical orders
  • Provide care in compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care
  • Delegate appropriately and supervise other licensed nurses and personnel
  • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise plan as needed
  • Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient record timely and legibly
  • Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
  • Float to other pediatric areas as appropriate assignments require

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
  • May lift up to 75 pounds
  • Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
