PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in ICU or Stepdown required
• Experience with medical cardiology patients, post cardiac cath care, neuro/stroke, and respiratory care including high flow O2 up to BiPAP required
• Experience with heparin infusions, diltiazem, and amiodarone required
• Experience with dobutamine, dopamine, and milrinone preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• California RN licensure required
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, cardiac drip management, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, pre/post cardiac cath care, TAVR, pacemaker management, sheath removal, high flow nasal cannula, heparin protocols, vasoactive drip management, post TPA care, and chest tube management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
