ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 181-day contract position starting August 23, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• $2,342.34 weekly pay

Your Role

You will provide critical care nursing services to patients requiring intensive medical supervision. Your responsibilities include monitoring and caring for critically ill patients, documenting patient assessments and interventions, and responding to emergency situations with life-saving interventions as needed.

Key Duties

• Monitor and care for critically ill patients in the ICU setting
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology for patient monitoring and treatment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate clinical interventions

You must hold an active RN license valid in Iowa. This role is based at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center and requires you to work night shifts with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
