PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset
• Must be located outside of 75-mile radius from facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be able to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg
• Patient ratios: 4:1 days, 5:1 nights
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (must include valid NIHSS in submittal)
• NY nursing license must be in hand at time of submission - no exceptions
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Must demonstrate competency in cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must be proficient in use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required including peripheral line care and management
• Respiratory skills required including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Must follow isolation precautions protocols
• Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include CVA, TIA, SDH, SAH, seizure, brain injury, and dementia
