ED Registered Nurse Job in Conyers, GA

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department. You will care for patients across all age groups—from neonates through geriatrics—managing diverse acute conditions including STEMI/NSTEMI, pulmonary embolism, COPD, congestive heart failure, end-stage renal disease, abdominal pain, behavioral health presentations, and more.

Role Details

• Work 3x12 night shifts with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Every other weekend shift required; no on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as assigned
• 12 orientation hours included
• Contract duration: 84 days, starting November 9, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,803

Qualifications

• Current Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience; first-time travelers considered
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (GSCC and EBRR can be completed onsite)
• Demonstrated experience with Epic charting system
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Key Competencies

• Care of ventilated patients and central line management
• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration with monitoring
• Emergency medication administration and IV initiation/maintenance
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Phlebotomy, triage, and isolation precautions
• De-escalation and management of violent behavior

Time Off and Holiday Policy

Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all requests must be finalized at submission. If major holidays fall within your assignment, you are expected to work per facility holiday policy.

You will have access to interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
