Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Rehab

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts available from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Cyclic self-scheduling with minimum every 3rd weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Work in a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Day shift patient ratio of 1:5 and night shift ratio of 1:6
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available on unit at a ratio of 1:10-15
• Charge nurse present on each shift
• Common diagnoses include stroke, spinal cord injury, amputee, brain injury, critical illness, and neurological diseases such as MS and Parkinson's in adult and geriatric patients
• Administer set rate drips including antibiotics, anticoagulation, and antiplatelets (titration of drips not required)
• Floating to Med Surg may be required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Orientation includes classroom training and 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit, followed by a pass/fail open book exam requiring a minimum score of 90%
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Driver's license required at time of submittal
