PCU Progressive Care Unit RN Job in New London, NH

New London Hospital in New London, NH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the day shift. This is a 91-day contract starting November 9, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 days per week
• Weekly pay: $2,340
• Every other weekend required; holidays required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio: 6:1 with 2 LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and House Supervisor available

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients
• Implement nursing standards in the processes of care
• Work with EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Valid New Hampshire RN license or Compact license required
• 3+ years of current medical-surgical experience
• 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown experience
• Charge experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Skills Checklist for Medical Surgical and Stepdown/PCU, current within 1 year, required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• EPIC experience highly preferred

Important Scheduling Information

• Block scheduling is not available
• Must work two blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted and must be noted at time of submission
• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
