Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 or 4x12 hour shift schedule available
• Every other weekend requirement
• Required to float to like units and specialty units within scope of practice
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 5-7 patients required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• First time travelers accepted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Cardiac experience is NOT required - any Med Surg/Telemetry experience is sufficient
• Observation and inpatient unit with fast patient turnover focusing on acuity
• Typical patient diagnoses include chest pain, heart failure, COVID, and alcohol withdrawal
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry and remote monitoring, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, wound care/wound vac, PCA, nasal cannula, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of rapid response/code teams
