Telemetry RN Job in Muncie, IN

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit in Muncie, Indiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 4, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, days
• Every other weekend required
• Weekly pay: $1,915
• Patient ratio: 5 patients per nurse (occasional rotated increases)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

Unit Overview

This is an observation and inpatient telemetry unit with fast patient turnover, focused on acuity rather than continuity of care. Common diagnoses include chest pain, heart failure, COVID, and alcohol withdrawal. Cardiac experience is not required—any med/surg telemetry background qualifies. Typical staffing includes 5 nurses and 3 techs per shift.

Additional Information

• Required to float to like units and specialty units within scope of practice
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Local Indiana residents are not eligible for this position
