Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Float position covering all medical units including renal, oncology, neuro, cardiology, and surgical units
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days and weekends, and 1:6 for nights
• Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum (Saturday/Sunday), plus holiday rotation obligation
• No on-call required
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Float process: Workers in the float pool are asked to call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before scheduled shift start time to receive unit assignment
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Daily census ranges from 28 to 50 depending on specific unit
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, IV start, and Telemetry
• Preferred certifications: NIH/NIHSS
• Required skills include: central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry and remote monitoring, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, wound care and wound vac, isolation precautions and PPE, oxygen administration, and peripheral line care and management
• Special equipment required: lift devices (training provided), ceiling lifts, and bladder scanner
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
