Telemetry RN Job in Stockbridge, GA

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 140-day travel assignment in our 32-bed Telemetry unit. This role offers a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week at $1,812 weekly pay, beginning October 26, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a cardiac telemetry setting with overflow IMCU capabilities. Patient ratios are 1:5–6 on days and nights, and 1:6 on weekends. Your responsibilities include managing arrhythmias, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema, PE, DVT), stable atrial fibrillation, SVT, bradycardia, post-cardiac catheterization patients, and occasional orthopedic or CVA overflow.

Clinical Competencies Required

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience and prior travel nursing experience
• Expertise with continuous IV drips including cardiac medications (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Proficiency with TR Bands and post-PCI patient care
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring
• All medical-surgical nursing skills
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry competency exam required upon hire

Systems and Environment

You will chart in Epic (preferred), manage Pyxis, and document using SBAR. High-flow oxygen and BiPAP are available, with respiratory services available 24/7. Interdisciplinary support includes phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Assignment Expectations

Weekend coverage is required, typically every other weekend per facility scheduling. You may request up to 7 days of time off; all requests must be finalized at contract submission. Holiday coverage is mandatory; if one or two major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day) fall within your assignment, you work all; if three or more, you work two. Floating within the facility and your scope of practice is required as needed. Call is rare with a 2-hour response time.

Previous charge nurse experience is preferred. Georgia or Compact nursing license required. Scrubs are navy blue.
