<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - CVICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in a 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit on the 3rd floor of Heart Tower<br>• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity, with downgraded patients at 1:3<br>• Work every other weekend with additional days off available in contract<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Critical Care training<br>• Minimum 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience required<br>• Preferred certifications in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care<br>• Float to all ICUs, step-down units, and other units as needed<br>• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs, nursing shoes, hair off shoulders, no artificial nails<br>• Arrive ready for work no earlier than 7 minutes prior to shift start at 6:45 AM<br>• Overtime must be approved by CNCs<br>• Perform procedures including IABP, Impella, hemodynamics, patient ambulation, chest tube removal, pacer wire removal, LVAD care, and intubation/extubation<br>• Work with GE monitors and Cerner EMR system<br>• Must have high energy, upbeat personality with love for surgical heart care<br>• Unit provides highly trained charge nurses and educator for orientation support</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care unit that provides comprehensive heart surgery services to approximately 850 patients annually. The facility features advanced cardiac care capabilities including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD support with dedicated specialty teams.
