ICU Registered Nurse Job in Kingwood, WV

Preston Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in its Intensive Care Unit. You'll work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) on a float basis, serving adult and geriatric patient populations with a 2:1 patient ratio.

Compensation & Schedule: You'll earn $1,944 weekly and enjoy self-scheduling with weekday shifts and every other weekend required. This assignment begins November 16, 2026.

Requirements:

• Current RN license (WV or Compact; pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience and CCRN certification are preferred.

Core Competencies: You must demonstrate proficiency in conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator management. Additional expertise in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, PICC line management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases is expected.

Work Environment: You'll use the CPSI EMR system and chart via Cerner. Wine or burgundy colored scrubs are required; scrubs are not provided. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy.
