NICU RN Job in North Kansas City, MO

You will care for neonatal patients in a Level 3 NICU setting at NKC Health in North Kansas City, Missouri. This is a 13-week travel nursing contract beginning July 28, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Every third weekend is required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonates ages 29-34 weeks and neonates greater than 34 weeks
• Perform blood glucose monitoring, hyperbilirubinemia management, insulin administration, and phototherapy
• Manage respiratory support including endotracheal tube suctioning, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), respiratory distress syndrome management, tracheostomy management, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Attend high-risk deliveries as needed
• Float to other competent units within the facility as required

Requirements

• RN with minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Missouri or compact nursing license at time of application
• Cerner EMR experience (required—no exceptions)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• PALS and CPI certifications preferred
• NRP Advanced certification preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Weekly pay is $2,332.80. Scrubs are provided by the facility.
