NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every third weekend required
• 13-week contract
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Cerner EMR experience is required - no exceptions
• Missouri or compact nursing license required at time of submittal
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: NRP Advanced, PALS, and CPI
• Required skills include blood glucose monitoring, hyperbilirubinemia management, insulin administration, and phototherapy
• Required respiratory skills include endotracheal tube suctioning, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), respiratory distress syndrome management, tracheostomy management, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Preferred skills include administration of emergency medications such as surfactants
• Care for neonatal patient population including neonates 29-34 weeks and neonates greater than 34 weeks
• Level 3 NICU work setting required with attendance at high-risk deliveries
• May float to all competent units within the facility
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
