PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday shifts required as scheduled
• Time off cannot be approved between December 20th and January 2nd
• Work on an acute care unit with 34 beds serving both Stepdown and Medical Surgical floor patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for Floor patients
• Titrate drips as required for patient care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently - must be proficient in reading and interpreting strips
• Work alongside respiratory therapy staff available in-house 24/7, including management of ventilator patients
• Collaborate with charge nurses, transport RNs, and certified nursing assistants as part of the care team
• May be required to float to other units as needed
• Chart using EPIC electronic health records system
• Wear royal blue scrubs as required by dress code
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
