ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work in a Transfer Center Clinical unit with zero hands-on patient care
• Shift start time of 2:45 PM with every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to be scheduled any day of the week including holidays as needed
• Manage an average of 12 cases per shift, working on 10-15 cases at a time with a target of one case per hour
• Facilitate transfers for any patient type from hospitals within and outside of the organization
• Conduct patient assessments including vitals and clinical information after intake process
• Locate accepting physicians and specialist doctors, identify appropriate facilities, and request bed placements
• Utilize multiple computer applications including Cerner, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect, and all Google apps
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of ICU, ED, or transfer center experience
• Must have acute care experience and critical care assessment skills
• Must demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ability to follow algorithms
• Must be proficient in Cerner or EPIC; Cerner and TeleTracking will be primary EMR systems used
• Must have strong multitasking, computer, and customer service skills
• Scrubs required in any clean and professional color; casual attire including jeans (no rips, tears, or holes) and clean hoodies with no large writing permitted
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must provide a typing test score at time of submission
