NICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa is seeking a registered nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This is a 3x12 day shift role lasting 89 days, beginning August 31, 2026. You will earn $2,582.10 weekly.

In this role, you will provide direct care to neonatal patients in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care specific to NICU patients
• Deliver age-appropriate care based on the physical and developmental needs of assigned neonates
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other healthcare personnel
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in accordance with facility policy
• Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility staff
• Work varied schedules including weekends and holidays as required by the department

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience
• Demonstrated clinical performance competencies through annual validations

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Professional nursing certification
