RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM plus call responsibilities
• Approximately 10-11 call days per month including 1 weekend per month
• Float between two campuses: Bryan Campus (home base) and College Station Campus
• Circulate and monitor cardiac catheterization cases
• Perform cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patient care
• Work in a facility with 4 cath labs, primarily running 3 rooms at one time with 5-15 cases per day
• EP cases include ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib)
• Three RN team members per case during the day: circulating RN, scrub tech, and monitor staff
• Must be able to circulate cases independently
• Utilize GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System
• All staff are cross-trained to monitor cases
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Three days of orientation to the unit with expectation of working independently by end of first week
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Trauma Level 3 acute care setting
