Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Two weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio on a 34-bed unit
• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Conduct bedside shift reports and include patients and family members in their plan of care
• Required skills include ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Must be proficient with IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Documentation completed using Meditech system
• Contract labor is first to float by rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
• Required certifications: BLS
• Active RN license required
