Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation integrated into permanent staff schedule
• First to float between both Med Surg units, with a designated home base unit
• 1 orientation shift on each unit required (2 orientation shifts total)
• Patient ratio of 5 to 1
• 55-bed Med Surg unit (2W MedSurg)
• Must read EKG strips and be comfortable working with telemetry patients
• No ventilator experience required
• Hospitalist or intensivist in house at all times
• IV and PICC team available during the day
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• PCT support of 1 to 3 aides depending on census
• Charge nurse available and does not take patients
• Minimum 2 years of solid Med Surg experience required for night shift
• 3 to 4 years of Med Surg experience required for day shift
• Must have strong, humble, and positive attitude with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Scrub color: Navy
• Acute care setting
