Job Details:

• Mid-shift Operating Room position with on-call requirement (response time under 30 minutes required)
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
• Minimum 2 years of direct RN OR experience required
• Strong robotics, orthopedic, and neuro experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Block scheduling not available
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 55 patients across 18 operating rooms
• Must be willing to participate in training as this is a teaching facility, including working with students and new staff
• Proficiency with a wide range of surgical procedures required, including but not limited to robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi, Mako Surgical System), orthopedic procedures, neurological procedures, laparoscopic cases, general surgery, gynecological procedures, and urologic procedures
• Experience with specialized equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana Table, Steris, and video integration of equipment required
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application and will not be reviewed if submitted after
• EKG and pharmacology tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
