ICU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as an RN in a 12-bed Neuroscience ICU at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 3, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM).

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 1:2 patient ratio in the neuroscience ICU
• Care for patients post-thrombectomy, post-TPA, and post-neurosurgery
• Perform and assist with procedures including CRRT, bedside EVDs, and A-line monitoring
• Operate Baxter infusion pumps and monitor advanced hemodynamic support
• Document all care using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Float to other ICUs or step-down units as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Prior ICU experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong neurology background preferred
• Advanced skills in neurocritical care essential

Schedule and Benefits

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Self-scheduling with unit needs consideration
• Six weekend shifts per scheduling period required
• Weekly pay: $2,049.84
