Physical Therapist Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026. You'll work four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with every other weekend requirements and potential every third weekend rotations. Holiday coverage integrates into the permanent staff rotation.

Your Role

You will treat a diverse patient population including those with cardiac conditions, stroke, orthopedic injuries, ICU patients, neurological conditions, and medical-surgical cases. You'll use the Cerner electronic medical record system and benefit from PT aide support—one aide Sunday through Tuesday, and two aides Wednesday through Saturday. A team leader is available when the manager is not present, and no floating between units is required.

Requirements

• Current California physical therapy license
• BLS certification
• COVID vaccination
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience

What We Provide

Eight hours of orientation is provided for all modalities. You are not required to work in NICU or have pediatric experience. The facility provides a burgundy polo or button-down shirt (dress code requires dark solid pants; scrubs are not permitted).

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,375.
