Operating Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 29, 2026. You will work day shifts from 10:45 AM to 9:45 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week, at $2,669 weekly.

Your Role:

• Function as a circulator or surgical technician during peak surgery hours
• Provide perioperative patient care in complex, urgent, emergent, and life-saving surgical situations
• Coordinate surgical suite activities and direct the surgical team during emergencies
• Deliver age-appropriate care addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs
• Serve as liaison between physicians, patients, families, and staff
• Work independently across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Assume some charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of open-heart circulating experience
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (required within 180 days of hire)
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
• Basic keyboarding skills
• Maintain 12 contact hours of continuing education per year

Preferred Experience:

• Previous travel experience in an open-heart CVOR setting
• Dual scrub and circulating role experience
