PCU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is hiring a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) RN for a 12-hour shift role in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an 89-day travel assignment starting October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,375.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients with a range of medical and surgical conditions. You'll assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments. You'll monitor physiological data, observe for changes in patient status, and intervene when necessary to support recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient responses to nursing care and medical treatments
• Monitor and note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data; observe and respond to physiological changes
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver competent care across simple to complex health conditions
• Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make appropriate care referrals and coordinate with hospital personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Requirements

You must hold an active RN license and have Med/Surg and Stepdown experience. You'll work 12-hour shifts and be expected to deliver competent, responsive nursing care in a fast-paced progressive care environment.
