RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Specialized liver care and transplant ICU position caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Patient diagnoses include post-op liver transplant and transplant hepatology
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with every other weekend or equivalent
• Scheduling type is variable
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required, no exceptions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Candidates may float within scope if needed
• Natural nail policy in effect
• Required skills include: arterial line management, ventilator management, CVVHD/CRRT, central line care/management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV insulin protocols, continuous IV sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, PICC line management, and post-op liver transplant recovery and care
• Special equipment includes CRRT (NxStage)
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
