ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Weekend coverage required
• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele and ER for critical care holds
• 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 2-3 patients required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR, and EKG course completion
• 6 hours total of stroke education required
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, post craniotomy and post neurosurgery management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, suctioning (ETT, NT), titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury management, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
