Med Surg RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a Medical/Surgical unit at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. This is a full-time travel position with a 91-day contract starting May 11, 2026.

Schedule & Facility

• 3x12 hour day shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Basic Medical Surgical unit
• Temp to perm opportunity available

Role Responsibilities

• Practice independently in a Med Surg clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations

Requirements

• RN License in state of employment or compact required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
